About Us HWBSPC

In today’s interconnected and globalized world, understanding history and the diverse interpretations surrounding it has become increasingly important. Historical narratives shape identities, influence political discourse, and affect social and international relations.

Historians without Borders Sindh Pakistan Chapter (HWBSPC) is the global initiative dedicated to promoting informed public discussion about Sindh’s history and encouraging the responsible use of historical knowledge for national identity, peace-building, dialogue, and conflict resolution.

The purpose of HWBSPC is to create a platform within Sindh and Pakistan where historians, researchers, educators, and policy stakeholders can engage in meaningful dialogue about the role of history in society. The chapter seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and public policy while encouraging evidence-based historical understanding.

To achieve these objectives, HWBSPC organizes public lectures, seminars, and expert discussions; participates in media dialogue; supports research and publications related to history; and contributes to initiatives aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding.

Our aim is to build a strong network of historians and experts across Sindh and Pakistan who can actively promote the objectives of Historians without Borders within their communities. This network will contribute to the broader international collaboration of historians and experts working towards constructive dialogue and sustainable peace.

This will lead to a Prosperous Sindh and therefore a Prosperous Pakistan.
